Lattice '99 - First Announcement

Lattice '99, the XVII International Symposium on Lattice Field Theory, will take place in Pisa at the Palazzo dei Congressi, from June 29th to July 3rd, 1999.

Registration will begin at midday on Monday, June 28. The program will begin on Tuesday morning, June 29, and will conclude on Saturday July 3.

There will be plenary talks, parallel talks, and a poster session. Equipment for video demonstrations will be available. The deadline for submission of abstracts is April 30, 1999.

Participants are expected to obtain their own funding. Very limited support may be available for participants from developing countries and for students and beginning postdocs who are unable to obtain sufficient support elsewhere. More information will follow in the first and second announcements.

The conference sessions will be held at the Palazzo dei Congressi, a conference center of the University of Pisa, within walking distance from the center of Pisa. Accommodation will be provided in local hotels, where blocks of rooms have been reserved at various price ranges. Detailed housing information will be provided in the next announcement.

Those who wish to obtain the second conference announcement should fill out the Notification of Interest Form by January 10. Those without web access may send the required information by e-mail to lat99@mailbox.difi.unipi.it or return a hardcopy of the form to the address below.
