Connected correlators in quantum gravity

Abstract: We discuss the definition and the properties of the connected corrlators in random geometries. We show that in canonical ensemble spurious weak--long range correlations appear due to the finite size of the system. We propose an ansatz for connected correlator that significantly reduces this effect, allowing better extraction of real correlations. We illustrate this by simulations of the Ising model in magnetic field coupled to 2D gravity and by extensive analytic analysis of the Branched Polymer model and 2D (c=0) gravity. We also study the interplay between matter--matter and geometry--geometry correlations. In particular we show how spin-spin correlations induce curvature--curvature correlations.
