Equation of state in finite-temperature full QCD with improved action from CP-PACS

Abstract: We investigate the finite temperature phase transition and the equation of state for two-flavor full QCD at $N_t=4$ using a renormalization-group improved action for the gauge part, and a mean-field improved clover action for the quark part. The integral method is applied to compute pressure through measurement of its derivatives with respect to $\beta$ and $\kappa$. We present results for the pressure and energy density as a function of the temperature and quark mass, and discuss consistency between the values obtained from different paths on the ($\beta, \kappa$) plane.
