Large Percolation and Deconfinement in SU(2) Gauge Theory

Abstract: The critical behaviour in the Ising Model can be specified using either the magnetization or the percolation strength for site-bond clusters as order parameter. We extend this to SU(2) lattice gauge theory and show that Polyakov Loop percolation in 2+1 space-time dimensions reproduces for $N_\tau=2$ the correct coupling for deconfinement as well as the correct Ising exponents ${\beta}/\nu=1/8$ and ${\gamma}/\nu=7/4$, for percolation strength and cluster size. The percolation strength remains an order parameter even in the presence of dynamical quarks, just as it does in the Ising model for non vanishing external field H.
