Recent results on self-dual configurations on the torus

Abstract: We report on recent progress on our understanding of the properties of self-dual configurations on the 4-torus, acquired by a mixture of analytical and lattice gauge theory numerical techniques. In particular, we discuss the information provided by cooling and lattice Nahm transform techniques, and the relation of the torus configurations with solutions on non-compact manifolds, as calorons and twisted instantons.
