String Breaking in Full QCD

Abstract: We report on a study of string-breaking in full QCD with dynamical staggered fermions using configurations generated by the MILC Collaboration. Explicit operators consisting of Wilson loops and correlators involving static-light and light-light contributions are used in a variational-type method to describe the behavior of the gluonic string over a range of separations where the string is expected to break.
