Chiral Extrapolation and the Soft Pion Theorem on the Lattice

Abstract: We present results at beta=6.2 and 6.0 for the ratio f0(qsqmax).fpi/fB for heavy pseudoscalar to light pseudoscalar meson decay. Heavy quark chiral effective theory indicates this ratio to be close to 1. Using three different reasonable fitting functions for the chiral extrapolation, we demonstrate considerable variation in the above ratio over chiral fit functions, and question the reproducibility of this relation on the lattice.
