Meron-cluster algorithms for models of strongly correlated electrons
Abstract: Numerical simulations of models of strongly correlated electrons, which are believed to capture the physics of high-temperature superconductivity, suffer from the fermion sign problem. We present a solution of the sign problem for a class of spin 1/2 fermion lattice models with the help of a meron-cluster algorithm. Improved estimators for various observables are discussed.
