Lattice QCD with Wilson fermions and a chirally twisted mass term
Abstract: We consider lattice QCD with Wilson fermions and a chirally twisted mass term. This presents an alternative approach to the massive theory which does not suffer from the usual problems with accidental zero modes (cf. talk by Roberto Frezzotti). Using lattice perturbation theory and SF boundary conditions, we present a one-loop computation of the chirally rotated PCAC relation. We identify the O(a) improved operators which play the role of axial current and axial density in the new framework and determine a few new improvement coefficients to one-loop order. We also present an argument why the possible presence of an Aoki phase should be irrelevant for reasonable choices of parameters.
