You are of course free to make your own arrangements for of your accommodation, but in that case the Organizing Committee will not be able to assist you.

Blocks of rooms have been reserved in a number of hotels, both in Pisa and in the nearby seaside resort of Tirrenia. Since the conference will take place during the high season, very early hotel registration is highly recommended, in order to increase the chances of finding rooms in your preferred hotel category. The suggested deadline for hotel bookings is April 1st, even though later booking will be accepted. Please consult the Hotel Booking Information page for further details.

Hotels in Pisa

All hotels in Pisa are within walking distance of the Palazzo dei Congressi.

Hotels in Tirrenia

Tirrenia is a seaside resort 12 km SW of Pisa, set amidst a pine forest. A conference shuttle will run once every morning and evening between Tirrenia and the conference sites. In addition, there are public buses running regularly between Pisa and Tirrenia; you may consult their schedule on-line (translation of timetable notes). Please note that tickets must be purchased before getting on the bus, and time-stamped inside the bus. Ticket price is 2,000 Lire.

Student Housing in Pisa

Student housing offers the possibility of budget accommodations in Pisa. Please notice that a student card is required.

Other Possibilities

Participants wishing to make hotel arrangements on their own, might also consider lodging at the nearby towns of Lucca (20 km NE of Pisa, intact city walls, rich heritage of churches, attractive hilly countryside) and Viareggio (23 km NW of Pisa, seaside resort popular with beachgoers). Both are connected to Pisa by frequent bus and train services. Note, however, that no shuttle service to the conference will be provided.
